Some Good News to Focus on Amidst the COVID-19 Outbreak

Right now, the country is going through something most of us have never experienced before. The barrage of news about coronavirus can feel scary and overwhelming as you worry about yourself, your friends and your family.

That’s why we wanted to focus on some positives right now. We believe optimism can carry people through difficult times. Here are three pieces of good news Harvard Medical School recently focused on in a blog post.

1. Social Distancing Is Easier With the Internet

While we try to listen to the Pennsylvania health department’s recommendations to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, we can visit with others using online means. Have your kids FaceTime with grandma or play a board game with their cousins via Google Hangouts.

2. People Are Looking Out for Each Other

So many of our neighbors and loved ones have displayed incredible leadership and generosity during this crisis. From teachers delivering food to students in need to employers continuing to pay employees who can no longer come to work, Americans are pulling together to help each other. That gives us so much hope for the future.

3. There Is Hope for the Future

In China, where the pandemic began, the number of new cases has declined sharply. While we have some hard months ahead, we will come out of this, and we all will feel so thankful. We care deeply about our clients, our families and our friends, and we can’t wait to see you all on the other side.
